The color of vitex honey is light amber, and the color of fresh honey is light white with light yellow, gradually changing to slightly orange-red. The taste is slightly fragrant with wattle flowers, moderately sweet, delicate and long-lasting, with an aftertaste of fruity nectar. It is not easy to crystallize and will be white or milky after crystallization.
Vitex is a deciduous shrub of the Verbenaceae family, a variant of Vitex vitex. The nectaries of Vitex are located on the top of the ovary, with more honey and less powder.
Vitex is mainly distributed in my country's Liaoning, Hebei, Beijing, Shandong, Shanxi, Sichuan and Hubei provinces and cities. Grows in bushes such as low mountain valleys, ravines, rivers, and roadsides.
The flowering period of vitex in most areas is from early to mid-June to mid-to-late July, with a group flowering period of 30-45 days and nectar flow of 20-25 days.
